Nerve Conduction
A nerve conduction study (NCS) is another study that helps Dr. Okhovat and his staff properly diagnose and treat patients. NCS measures how fast an electrical impulse moves through the nerve. NCS can determine nerve damage and destruction, which helps in providing proper diagnosis and treatment. The test stimulates the nerve by affixing patches onto the skin that mildly electrify the nerve. The velocity between the electrodes and impulses are measured.
