Dr. Okhovat

Mahyar Okhovat, MD founded the Okhovat Neurological Center with the mission to provide comprehensive patient-specific diagnosis and treatment. He has made it his mission to create a multidisciplinary approach to correctly diagnose and treat his patients. He believes that his dedication and attention to his patient-specific method is what has brought him success consistently and correctly diagnosing and alleviating his patient’s symptoms. Furthermore, Dr. Okhovat continually upgrades his methods to ensure his patients are getting the most current information. He has a NeuromusclarFellowship training from the world-renowned UCLA Medical Center in EMG and Nerve Conductions testing to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions. His attention and compassion for his patients is the foundation on which he builds a strong trusting relationship to best diagnose their needs.

More about me

Mahyar Okhovat, a Los Angeles native, started his medical career at UCLA, obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science. He then earned his doctorate at the Ross University School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Neurology at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, where he was chief resident and recipient of the Leo Munoz Outstanding Resident Award, Dr. Okhovat finished his training at UCLA with a Fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorders. He now provides specialization in diagnosing and treating diseases of the nerves and muscles. Dr. Okhovat has special training in utilizing EMG and Nerve Conduction tests, which help aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions. He is also head of Neuroscience at Encino and Sherman Oaks Hospitals. He also the main neurologist Barlow Respiratory Medical Center in Van Nuys, Ca.
